RALS®-Web Provides Access to POC Data
Where You Need, When You Need It

 

Charlottesville, VA – May 17, 2004 – Medical Automation Systems, Inc. (MAS; Charlottesville, VA) the leader in information management software for Point-of-Care Testing (POCT), has announced the availability of RALS-Web which enables users to remotely connect to their RALS-Plus database and access key information from any computer connected on the hospital network that is running Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.

           

With the addition of RALS-Web, the ‘Best Just Got Better’ with a multi-vendor, multi-analyte, browser-based technology that enables users to access data from any device at any location, using a PC, laptop, wireless tablet or computer on wheels connected to a hospital intranet.

RALS-Web was developed based upon input from a number of different institutions through the United States. The system is easy to use and provides POCCs with key information to manage their POC programs, including:

  • 3 levels of authority (POCC, POCC Assistant, and Test Station Operator)

  • Operator information (i.e. – add/edit operator ID, name, assigned location, etc) Operator certification information

  • Flagged results

  • All results (including those pending upload to the LIS)

  • Device management status (e.g. – whether a device has downloaded and from what location)

RALS-Web interfaces to POC devices from Bayer, Biosite, Dade Behring, HemoCue, IL, i-STAT, ITC,  Lifescan and Roche Diagnostics.  For a complete detailed listing click here.
